![]() ![]() So if I have a pedal with some handwritten label at the bottom then I like to keep it that way. so I do take care of certain things, automatically and naturally. I understand all of your arguments above but I do treat objects like women. As long as something doesn't smell like cat pee, someone will overpay for it if they desire it enough. My well worn CE-2 has survived decades of abuse, and someone will still pay over $200 more than the $40 I paid for it because it was made in Japan. It's funny how some players get worried about velcro damaging the bottom, yet have no qualms about stomping the hell out of pedals with shoes that have trudged through beer, dirt, and possibly dog poo that was removed with the "drag it in the grass" method. ![]() ![]() ![]() If you buy a pedal as an investment, keep it on the shelf with your commemorative dinner plates and tourist trap shot glasses. If I can't break windows, I can at least rattle them. Pedals make that process so much more fun and gnarly. It understands me and allows me to say what and how I truly feel. Personally, I play guitar because it's a device that lets me be my true self. If you bought something because you want to use it and enjoy it, then use it and enjoy it. If anyone understands about what's important in life, it's this man right here. I'd listen to him and hold on to that wisdom forever. ![]()
